Electronic files being held hostage by malicious ransomware software following a cyber-attack last month at Jackson County Central schools are beginning to be retrieved. Todd Meyer, superintendent of schools at JCC, said a company working on behalf of the schools cyber-security insurance provider broke the encryption keeping teachers from accessing their electronic files last week.
